How to Buy an iPhone in Japan with 0% Installments Using Paidy

Here is your step-by-step guide to setting up a Paidy account, verifying your Zairyu card, and checking out in minutes.
Step 1: Download the App & Create an Account

Download the Paidy (ペイディ) app from the App Store or Google Play.
Open the app, skip the initial slides, and agree to the Terms of Service.
Enter your email address and your Japanese phone number (starting with 070, 080, or 090).
Input the 4-digit SMS verification code sent to your phone to log in.

To unlock the Apple Store installment plan, tap on Apply for Paidy Plus to upgrade your account and verify your identity.
Important Legal Note: Under current Japanese financial regulations, foreign residents must use their Residence Card (Zairyu Card) or Special Permanent Resident Certificate for this verification. You cannot use a My Number Card or Driver's License.
Ensure your visa period (period of stay) is valid and not expiring soon, or your application may be rejected.
